What motivates me is the success that I have had on the BFC. I am so glad that I found you and Rosie....and of course Jorge!!! I am excited to try the coconut products. My first try with coconut flour was a disaster:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on you 2yrs with the BFC....what motivates me is seeing people like you and others that have been able to stick to a way of eating that is healthy and not feeling deprived of anything.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog--thank you! Just went back & read your first 10 or so posts and will read more from the archives. It's just all so informative! My motivation: my favorite jeans I wore 8 yrs ago, pre kids. And I can't wait to wear tighter shirts that show off my curves (without having to hide my belly under crossed-arms).
ReplyDeleteAnd I also requested to join your BFC group on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI am motivated because i just went from 187 to 177 on my first week of bfc this past week. I was in a really bad place with my eating and this blog inspires and motivated me to get back in the game again. my daughter who has autism and a gluten sensitivity does well on it too. would love to make coconut muffins and pancakes for her and I!
ReplyDeleteMy kiddos are first and foremost in my mind. Not only do I not want them to struggle with weight like I have, but they deserve a Mama who is the best version of her she can be ;)
ReplyDeleteI also have been stalking you on FB for a while, lol!
ReplyDeleteI am motivated by my family and wanting to stay healthy..
ReplyDeleteCongrats on such a great anniversary

I am motivated by the fact that I reached my goal weight in 2004, so I KNOW I can do it. I kept all my "skinny" clothes and that's what motivates me. It's like a whole new wardrobe that I don't have to pay for.
ReplyDeleteI subscribed to your blog last week after reading about you on another blog or FB. Congrats on your weight loss - you look amazing! I'm a gluten-free now sugar sensitive soul and I've lost 50+ pounds so far.
ReplyDeleteI'd love the chance to win! I'm a new convert to coconut flour and oil. I've also just liked you on FB:D
I am motivated because my weight gain is starting to effect my life! I just finished my first week on FT and lost 7 pounds- 1.5 inches off my waist and 2 inches off my hips! THANK YOU for your blog- I LOVE IT and the ideas! I have looked all over and can only find coconut oil local- can't wait to order and try the flour! Congrats on all your success!!
ReplyDeleteI get motivated by so much! One way I get motivated is by surrounding myself with like minded people who have the same goals as myself! I also have a graph on my fridge showing my daily weight progress.
ReplyDeleteI just tweeted about the contest!
ReplyDeleteHey Amber,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 2 years!!
What motivates me? Well, knowing it is not a DIET but a LIFESTYLE for me. What keeps me going is all the health benefits associated with eating healthy, delicious meals/foods/snack/beverages.
Keep up your blog!!
Much peace,
Esther
Hi Amber,
ReplyDeleteI also tweeted you :)
Peace,
E
Congratulations Amber on 2 years! It really is a life style. I can't stop telling people about it. Even though I haven't lost a lot (yet) I believe in it 100%. You are so generous with your time and information. I'm really grateful to have found you and your blog!
ReplyDeleteIt has been about 2 months since I had my first child. He had a rough start and spent 24 days in the NICU, meanwhile I had an infection that turned into an abscess and was admitted to the hospital 10 days after he was born. I was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks including a few days in the ICU. I could say a whole lot more about our experiences but what I really wanted to share is my inspiration. Every day I wake up and it is amazing to be alive and even though I wasn't sick because of my weight I know if it continues like this I will be. I don't ever want to be hospitalized again.
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting this diet and I'm so excited and grateful for your blog!
I have a lot of coconut stuff at home right now so I'll refrain from entering the contest but I just had to say, concerning your "skinny photo": girl, you look hot!!

Happy Blogiversary Amber!! I'm still chugging along in my first year, but I think I'll still be eating this way two years from now. What motivates me the most is being able fit into smaller clothes and shopping for sizes I haven't been in for a LONG time!
ReplyDeleteWhat motivates me, is how easy the BFC is. You can find BFC friendly items on any menu, carb swaps for every craving and it actually works! I know a lot of people can be sceptic - we've all seen those miracle pill weight loss advertisements - but all you need to do is a week or BFC. You will see and feel the difference!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried the coconut oil yet - but will soon. As you said it is expensive.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Amber on you 2 years, I am right behind you ;-)
Congratulations on two years Amber. I can say honestly that you and the others who have succeeded are the motivation that keeps me going. Whenever I say I can't do this, I look to you all and know that it can be done. Kudos to you! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Amber! You have made the last 7 months of my life so much easier and made me feel like I can do this too! I hit 60# this A.M., after a dry spell where I didn't gain, but I certainly wasn't loosing. I've got another 40 to go. A season ski pass, and new to me skis are what keeps me going. I'd love to meet Jorge one day ... just to say thanks, but in reality I don't think that will happen. However, in 40 more pounds those skis are mine!!! LOL. Thank you again ... you are amazing and a very big part of my every "new Char" day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI follow you on twitter :)
ReplyDeleteI'm now following Carbsmart on Twitter.
ReplyDeleteI've also been following you on FB for some time now ... so that makes my 4! Thank you again for the give-away and everything!
ReplyDeleteI am now following you on FB!
ReplyDeleteApril
and now I'm following you and carbsmart on twitter... maybe now I will tweet.
ReplyDeleteApril (twitter username is charcoaldrawing)
I started BFC last fall. It made total sense (the S/C values were easy to follow). So, what motivates me? 1) How I feel and the results I see. I had to go off BFC for 6 months because of a medical issue (not related to the diet) and now I am back on and loving it. What keeps me on it? 2) It's easy to manage and there are lots of choices.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your story and motivating us with your experience.
My motivation is watching my body shrink and how much better I feel...This is the best part of the BFC...I spent most of my life miserable, cranky, and hungry because of the so-called nutritional pyramid...Now, I'm just cranky :)
ReplyDeleteI follow you and carbsmart on Twitter...and Tweeted you a Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI also LIKE your Facebook page.
ReplyDeleteI get motivated hearing that others have succeeded on the plan. I love reading about your journey and helpful hints. I just started the BFC FT two weeks ago and I feel really good. The fact that I made it thru the first two weeks is a miracle.... but your blog really helped when I doubted my ability to stick with it.
ReplyDeleteHi Amber and congratulations on 2 years!!! I too am coming close to my 2 year and couldn't be happier. I could've never done this if i hadn't found your blog!! I've lost 50 lbs. and i'd like to try the FT sometime. What motivates me is the confidence i have now because i know i look and feel great! I've got to stop buying clothes, that's my down fall now!! I have to hide some of them that I really like or my girls will wear them! I use all of the coconut products you have listed. I use the oil for homemade chocolate chips and the granola bar recipe at Healthy Indulgences, oh my, these are so awesome, the flakes are also used in this recipe. You don't have to enter me because i always have this on hand.
ReplyDeleteWhat motivates me is individuals like you who take time to blog. I'm excited to try the coconut recpies. Thanks for entering me int he giveaway and a big "thank you " for the blog. You are inspirational.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 2 year annversary. You really have been an inspiration to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm coming up on my 2 yrs also. I think what helped motivate me was that I saw results so quickly and enjoy the food that I eat. Getting to meet Jorge was a plus and hearing stories from other clients really helped. I've been on the Fast Track for 17 months and it works for me. After losing 45lbs, I love to shop and try on clothes that I used to think I would never try again.
Thank you for your recent recipes made with coconut, I'm looking forward to trying these out and sharing with my friends.
I've been following you since about April and think you are absolutely fabulous & I am so happy you are here to guide us along & be another face for the success of this brand! Peace and love.
ReplyDeleteHi again, I said hello to you both on twitter! And I am already on your facebook page! ~ Rene Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI have many motivators-here's a few:
ReplyDeleteI love my family/life and want to be around enjoying it all for a long time!
My BFC/FT'ing blogging buddies are a huge motivation. I just keep thinking if they can do it, so can I! I never feel alone.
I want to win the battle of gain/lose/gain...and I'm doing it.
I'm already on your FB page :)
Thanks for the giveway offer-so fun.
