A teaspoon of sugar

I found this in my son's homework today and had to share it! In case you don't think I practice what I preach #4 says "Is that a teaspoonful of unhealthy sugar?" I had to laugh when I saw this! The assignment was to use two spelling words in a sentence, somehow he worked sugar in there, just like Mom would have.

The day before I heard my 7 year old tell my 10 year old "Mom couldn't even have one of these, it has too much sugar".  For some reason I thought that was so sweet! First, they were reading a label and second they thought of my diet while sneaking a snack from the pantry!

Have a wonderful day, and remember to laugh!

  2. That is so cute! The handwriting brings back lots of fun memories! You never knew what sentences your kids were going to write!
Maybe this generation of kids will think more about healthy eating.

    2. I lost all but the last 10 lbs on regular BFC following the 15/6 rules. The last 10 lbs were all Fast Track. Wheat Belly is an excellent companion book to FT, just backs up the science and get VERY specific as to why you should ditch grains. I say I follow FT, my Sister says she follows WB - I say they are the same :) They both a forgiving version of Paleo.

I am still figuring out running longer distances grain-free. Right now my muscles feel tired during 5+ milers and I want to walk more than I should. Muscles should feel tired afterwards, but not during. Argh - Im still figuring this out because I enjoy the peace that running brings me.

  7. Is it bad that I just popped a Whopper in my mouth before I read this? My dang kids and their no fear attitude of sugar! And the fact that they have jobs and buy their own crap, and then leave it around for the zero willpower mother to see.

Time to hit the gym. Pesky little whopper! At least someone is teaching their kids right...
