Fast Track Challenge

Today I am starting the Belly Fat Cure Fast Track. I'd love for you all to join me! I promise, it is easier to do with a group of like minded people. I will share with you my food, menus, ideas, recipes, struggles and cravings - I hope you will the same in the comments. So let's start today - right this minute! No excuses, no tomorrows. Just say "I'm in!", it's as easy as that (it really is)!

So here are my stats: I am in maintenance mode and would like to take off 9 lbs. I lost my weight with the BFC and the Fast Track got off the final 10 lbs or so. I've done the FT twice now. The first time, I hated it and honestly hadn't totally bought into it. But it worked. I also used the Fast Track again at the beginning of the year to get off 5 lbs that had crept back on (maintenance is hard people!) and I was "all in" this time and really understood the plan better. And it worked even better that time around. I am embarrassed about those 9 lbs and I know some of it is probably muscle from running. But mostly it is binge eating my kids after school treats (I'm an awful Mom!) in August. But I'm ready to buckle down for 30 days.

How about you?

  1. Hi - I'm Heather from NC....I'm in there with you. I've been reading your blog the past week or so and I saw your story in the book -beautiful picture even if you didn't like it :-). I bought the belly fat cure and the fast track as well. I started the fast track today. I've tried everything from WW to Atkins to South Beach. I've always been able to take off that initial 5-7, but nothing after that. I'm truly hoping I've found the plan I need to follow for my health and weight loss!!!! So far, I've followed Day 1 perfectly....Lunch wasn't tooooo great, but looking forward to Salmon for dinner!!!

  5. Hello! I'm on day 3. I like my wine at night (don't have a sweet tooth). But, yesterday night, my daughter got us some popcorn (she popped the wrong kind). Had quite a few and hated myself after that. I don't go on the scale, I just try to feel good. I like this plan. Before, I used not to eat the whole day and was feeling like crap! Good luck to y'all!

  7. Hi Amber, just started Fast Track today and am about to make the Salmon....would that be the Salmon with Dill Sauce from the book or just plain? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

  8. I bought the book but am being a wuss and am not ready to start yet. I'm just being scared. I've been doing regular BFC since April with some success, but need to kick it into gear. I think part of it is, I don't like some/many of the things he lists. It freaks me out that he really pushes NO SUBSTITUTIONS... But, I should just "woman up" and do it! :) And if it will make me stick to it, do the subs if I want. Are you just doing it for two weeks?? I also need to start exercising...especially since I'm not even close to being at goal :( Love the motivation your blog/commenters give...

  11. To Anonymous (3rd post before this one): Yes, you can "carb swap" - see page 68 of the book!

  12. I do not do the 8 Minutes in the Morning - I dont have that book. I run (or jog, Im very slow), that's it. But going to go to once a week of a big hike/run now that my race is over. I give my running almost zero credit for my weight loss. But I give it lots of credit for helping tighten up what's left after the loss.

You can swap out food and meals. Protein, greens and skinny fats and you are good! So excited and little hungry today! ;-)

  13. I need to get the book! (Mostly I want it just because you are on the back cover!!!) I have been doing a modified Paleo/Primal plan for awhile now, but I do cheat with grains on occasion. Would love to see how Jorge's plan compares...in maintenance now after a 20 lb loss and do strength training (and a little cardio) 3x per week. I'm with you in spirit in the meantime!

  14. Thanks for reply. It actually feels good to have a reply :)! I'm a little (!)over 50, I run a lot, very slowly too and still, I can't get rid of those 10ish pounds I gained since I quit smoking. Hope the Fast Track will do the trick. BTW, the 8 mn I was talking about are on the latest book. Let's all hang in there!

  16. Hi Amber. Leaving for VK on Saturday, not sure I can do the FT while I'm away, but I'm trying to do a modified version this week. When I get back, 10/18th, I'm jumpin on with you guys. I'll be late, but what else is new! Good luck!

  17. I am in for the FT! I just ran my 1st 5K on Saturday and I am psyched!! Ideally, I'd like to lose these last 10 lbs...I've just been very lazy about it. I am ready to crack down and get serious. FT is a great way to kick start, then I will probably switch back over to BFC in a few weeks. Planning is key!!!

  18. Hi thank you for sharing your experiences with the belly fat cure, really inspiring, i have a question though and hope you can enlighten, is Muscato an allowed drink in the bfc?

  19. Started the BFC less than 2 weeks ago and just got my FT book today. Not quite ready to make the leap, but... maybe I am? It looks so simple. Thanks, Amber, for sharing all that you do with us. I found this blog right when I got the BFC book and have been hooked. You are so inspiring and I love seeing that this plan really works!

  20. Amber, I started the FT on Sunday and I have to be honest like you I am not thrilled with this plan. I am hungry most of the time and miss my bread lol. I wanted to get a jump start on losing again. After I had surgery I put some weight back on and not happy with myself. I am trying to follow his menus pretty close but do change out some proteins and veggies. So I am gonna give it the 2wk run.

  21. Just started the BFC, so I'll stick with that for now. Maybe I can pick up the book soon and give it a try...right now finances are seriously so tight, I don't think I can find the $$ for another Jorge book.

Hubby lost 6 lbs the past 10 days...I don't weigh in 'til Saturday *fingers crossed*.

    Rock it, ya'll!!!

  22. I'm going to pick my son up from day care today and try to find a copy of the book! I may have to drive all over the good state of Florida but I am determined. I lost 5 lbs my first week of the BFC but having company got me off track and I haven't been able to recommit to it again. I'm hoping this will be the jump start that I need!

  24. Day 5 and my body already look different. Looks like my hips have "depuffed". Yeah, I think it's working!!! I'm a bit bloated though...
