Vitamin Water Zero

Glaceau Vitamin Water Nutrient Enhanced Water Beverage ZERO, Go-Go Mixed Berry, 20 oz (Pack of 24)Vitamin Water Zero is an excellent choice on the Belly Fat Cure. In fact Jorge Cruise posts about it often on his facebook page. When the book originally came out Vitamin Water was made with artificial sweeteners and did not belong on the plan, which explains why it is not in the original book. But in the past year they have changed the ingredients to include Stevia and Erythritol (a sugar alcohol).

The best thing about this product is that is it widely available, at movie theaters, Starbucks, most grocery stores and gas stations. Costco even sells a big variety pack. So if you really need a low sugar treat, you can always find it! Vitamin Water Zero has 0 grams sugar/4 grams for a a little less than half the bottle. That is an S/C Value of 0/0, but if you were to drink the whole bottle it would be 0/1.

There are several different flavors available, I have only tried a few. My favorite is XXX which has acia, blueberry pomegrante flavors and contains antioxidants, it says. I didn't really like the Rise, which was a bit like Orange Juice. I used it in Mimosa's for a recent brunch. Be sure and pick the ZERO variety, instead of the regular which is loaded with sugar. And be sure and count they carbs if you drink more than half the bottle. I save these for a special treat or when I really need something sweet. If you are having these daily and your weight loss has stalled, I would recommend cutting back on these to one a week.

  1. I love Vitamin Water! I also like Sobe Lifewater, but it has 6 grams of carbs instead of 2.

  2. I'm sort of new to this diet (10 weeks in) and I like the Sobes too. Haven't tried the Vitamin Water yet but was wondering why they might stall your loss when they only have 4 grams of carbs? Is it because they don't have much else nutritional in them? Also, how soon after a meal can you have something like that without it affecting your total carbs for the meal?

  3. Beth, I've often wondered that, too. How soon after a meal can you consume a carb drink/food that will count as zero without affecting a meal total? And why stalled weight loss with the vitamin water?

  4. Beth and Angie - It is the Sugar Alcohols in Vitamin Water & Sobe that could stall your weight loss. I have found that I can have these drinks once or so a wk, but not everyday. Even when I count them up correctly. People react very differently to the sugar alcohols, so I just wanted to mention it!

  6. Oh, Ok. I was having a Sobe a day and I didn't lose anything this past week so I think I'm cutting them out for awhile. I guess it's all about finding the right balance for yourself.

  7. I am trying to get off of diet soda and found that Hansens has a crystal light-like powder with stevia and an s/c value of 0/0. I found it at the Walmart in Huntington Beach, CA. It's really good and I especially like the berry and fruit punch flavors. I hope this won't affect my weight loss.

  8. I've noticed that Vitamin Water Zero can have a wide fluctuation in carbohydrates per bottle. For example, the Lemonade and Grape-raspberry flavors have 10 grams of carbs for the entire bottle whereas the Blood orange-mixed berry and Strawberry guanabana flavors have 2.5 grams of carbs for the entire bottle. Just a FYI.
