Product Review: Activate Drinks

Activate Workout Variety, 16-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12)Activate Drinks are a really unique no sugar drink, made with Stevia. They are basically a water bottle, until you turn the cap. The action releases different powders into the water which you shake to mix.

My favorite so far is the Exoctic Berry - Antioxidant. They are only very lightly sweetened, which is prefect for me right now. But it may not be sweet enough if you are just now giving up sodas and artificial sweeteners. Maybe save it for when you have really lost the taste for sugar. I would LOVE to see Activate tablets, that we could add to any bottle of water. That would be such a great Crystal Light replacement, wouldn't it?

Activate drinks have an awesome S/C Value of 0/0 (0 grams Sugar, 1 gram Carbohydate) and are a perfect soda replacement on Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure. I love that they don't have any sugar alcohols either. They are a little pricey, at over $2 some places. But as an added bonus Activate uses BPA-Free bottles. They come in several flavors including: Vitamin, Immunity, Energy and Antioxidant and several Workout flavors (Grape, Passion Fruit, Lime and Grapefruit). I found Activate at my neighborhood grocery store. To find them locally click HERE.

Have you tried Activate?

  2. Thanks Amber. Can't wait to try these. Also just wanted to let you know about a great new find. You may know about these already, but they are the Cocoa Roast Almonds by Emerald. One serving is an s/c value of 1/1. Also they have 3 gm of fiber. They are sooooo delicous. You can buy them in an 11 oz canister, or individual packs. I found them at target. They sugar/carb value is the same as the regular almonds, but they really taste like a decadent treat. Try them if you can find them.

  3. Yes, my local Ralphs carries them...and they had them on sale for $1!! I wish I had bought more of them, but they are great for work-outs. I notice the difference when I drink them while I'm at the gym.

  5. P.S. I do like the True Lemon products. Like Crystal Light but BFC friendly sweetened. For those that like a cocktail once on awhile. Get vodka and seltzer or club soda, then add some of the lemonade or raspberry lemonade flavor True Lemon to it.. Quite nice :)

  7. Sucralose is hidden in so many products! It is shocking! Im going to experiment with some nut roasting myself, cinnamon, spices & cocoa powders. Has anyone else done this?

Krystal I would really have stocked up at that price, Ill keep an eye out for another sale.

  9. They do make the bottle caps that you can just add to your own bottles of water. I found them when I went to their site. http://shop.activatedrinks.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=3

    The 8 cap bag! :)

  10. I saw those little caps! So funny they did it that way, instead of little tablets or a powder.

Krystal _ Im ALL over those roasted nuts!! Made the cinnamon cocoa and substituted all that sugar (OMG!) with a little Stevia. Ill post my adjusted recipe in an upcoming post. Thanks so much for the link!

  11. OK, just wanted to say a few words after having a single Black Cherry Zevia. My stomach looked like I had swallowed a basketball. I was in terrific pain (felt like having a baby!) for hours before I finally threw up continually. It was the longest 12 hours of my life of dirrahea, too. It was a horrible experience for me. I just wanted to warn others who have a sensitive stomach, ahead of time. Black Cherry Zevia contains 13 grams of Eyrthritol, and is supposed to cause the LEAST stomach upset compared to malitol and sorbitol.

  12. Thanks so much for the warning! Ppl really need to be informed on sugar alcohols, many have strong reactions to them. I have a similar reaction to maltitol, but not to the others. Hope you feel better!!
