Belly Fat Cure Fast Track Class

Jorge Cruise is offering a 4 week Belly Fat Cure Fast Track Class that starts next week. He does a few of these online classes each year and that is how I first came across his program. When I first heard about this class, I didn't think much of it, except to wonder if any of my readers might be doing it. His Client Success booklet that you can download from his site mentions my weight loss story and my blog. After seeing that, I realized I wanted to participate in the class too! Sounds kind of weird, right? I mean, I know the program pretty well and am at my goal weight now (minus a few holiday lbs). But I thought it would be a great way to kick off 2011 and remind myself of all the basics.

Maintenance turns out to be really tough and I can use all the help I can get! Right now I am training for my first 1/2 Marathon with 1 month left to go. I think all that running is really helping me to maintain my weight loss. But I also think that I am adding more muscle in my thighs. I have let a few things sneak back in over the holidays and I am less strict with myself then I was before. For example, I had a Chocolate Martini for New Years Eve even, which is something I never do (should have just had a glass of champagne!).

Here is what I hope to get out of the Fast Track class:
  • Reminder of the basics, what foods are allowed on the Fast Track and which aren't
  • Interact with others struggling with their weight and sugar addiction
  • Get back to getting my fiber from green vegetables instead of from grains
  • Get more Fast Track/grain free recipes ideas
  • I weighed this morning and I am up 5 lbs from my low, so I am hoping to drop those during the 4 weeks
Are you signing up for the class too? More info can be found here, and I'd love to hear with anyone else considering it! It is $197 for the 4 weeks and starts January 10th, so make sure that is workable with your budget. You can download the Client Success guide here. It also features my friend Anthony's wonderful story (Jorge actually met him through my blog!) and Jessica.

The Belly Fat Cure Fast Track book itself has been delayed. I don't know the details of that except that we should expect it closer to the end of the year. Currently you cannot even pre-order it on Amazon anymore! You can read more about the Fast Track HERE.

  1. Great Blog!! Ive been thinking about signing up for the fast track version. I've had success on BFC, so I'm looking to drop those final pounds with the fast track version. My concern is maintaining the weight after the 4 weeks if I go back on the regular BFC. I'm afraid adding back in the grains allowed on BFC will result in weight gain. Have you heard how people are maintaining after fast track?

  2. I just sent you a message ~ I am signed up to do FT as well! This was exactly the motivation I needed to get my act back together after the Holidays! Can't wait till Monday!

  3. Thank you for creating the S/C tracker spreadsheet! I was just about to start creating one when I ran across your blog. I went ahead and added a Validation rule to column B where the food item is entered so you don't have to remember what things are called. Thank you so much for your blog....very motivating! My husband and I are on day 4.....

  4. Your blog got me started in the right direction. I've lost over 20 pounds so far since after Thanksgiving. I signed up for the FT class and can't express how excited I am about it. Thanks so much for all the amazing information and motivation.

  5. Just signed up for the fast track today. So excited but also nervous. I have tried so many programs in the past. The bfc makes so much sense to me, I have to try it. I started bfc this week and feel great! I have 50 lbs to loose, thanks for the motivation you provide on this blog.

  6. Amber - Do you really think the $197.00 price tag is worth it??? I felt the Over 40 plan was not worth the $$. The menus where the same as in the book and really just switched around day to day. It seems like Jorge needs a website the is more organized.

  7. Glad to see you are doing it so that I can follow along with you! I signed up yesterday.

  8. I agree that the Over 40 didnt seem worth the extra money - it was just stuff from the book and videos form the class I was in the year before. That class was worth it to me, for all the obvious reasons (it worked! and it stuck!). I dont want to encourage anyone to spend that kind of money AT ALL. But if you have the money and are ready and willing to make a big change in your diet (you WILL be asked to give up grains) and suffer thru a few possible reversals of opinion then Id recommend it. If you are interested but dont want to spend the money, just do BFC with no grains.... its the same really and just the cost of the book!

  9. HI Amber,

Did you notice any weight gain when to went back to the regular BFC after the fast track program since you start adding the grains? Or do you just stick with the fast track now?

    Thanks,
    Julie

  10. I just started following your blog - it is great - thanks for sharing your journey! I joined the Fast Track program last week and my husband has agreed to do it with me which is very exciting. I lost 40 lbs just using the BFC book in the fall and I have another 50 to go in 2011.

  11. I just joined the Fast Track program and very excited about it. I, too, have lost about 52 pounds but very slowly on my own over the past 15 months and now need help for the next 50 pounds. I wish I had known about the BFC before now and it may not have taken me so long or hard to lose the first 50. I have really enjoyed reading your blog. You look fabulous! Hope to hear more from you. Good luck on the 1/2 marathon. Bonnie G.

  12. Hi Amber! I joined up for the Fast Track program and already like what I see. I had joined the six week online program last year & lost 30lbs & kept it off. For me the progam offers everything I need to stay focus & I can see they have improved the program from last online program, like the community blogs. I too started running & have done many 5k's. I want to lose more wieght for health & to increase my speed in running!

  13. Hi Amber! Thanks so much for this blog and all the research you're doing for all of us. I just signed up for the Fast Track. I'm 63 and just recently had a wakeup call and it's past time to take off 60+ pounds. I'm determined to do it, but I'm a little alarmed that you, of all people, are experiencing some difficulty maintaining your weight loss. AWK! Now I realize you are human, and you have been wonderfully honest about your ups and downs, but the fact you have approached your weight with such determination, dedication and resolve makes it a little intimidating for me. I guess the fact is, there are no magic bullets and it takes hard work and discipline, even with Jorge. Rats! I guess I'm just going to have to consider the alternatives (poor or even dangerous health, no energy, embarrassment due to my weight, etc. etc.) and finally decide I'm worth the effort to save my life! Thanks for listening! Look forward to your posts here and on BFC Fast Track.

  14. Julie - This is a GREAT question! I lost most of my weight on the BFC and the Fast Track came out when I was about 10 or 15 lbs from my goal. I kind stalled about then, but was really resistant to trying the FT. But when I did it got me to my goal weight and I learned to get my fiber from vegetables instead of grains. I think I did FT for 3 months and I started having some bad cravings and decided I would go back BFC immediately, or I was just going to lose it! So for the last many months I do BFC, with just much less grains & more fruit then I started out with.I did level out at 2 lbs higher then my lowest weight, but that is okay!

  15. Me again. I'm sure you've considered this, Amber, but it just occurred to me that muscle weighs more than fat. Is it possible with all your running, etc., that you are just gaining in muscle and tone (rather than fat)? (Okay, with maybe a lb. or two from the Holidays.) It seems to me that the actual number of pounds you weigh is a good indicator of where you're at generally, but that the true goal should be fitness, health, and flexibility (and not a precise number on the scale.) You look absolutely stunning and vibrant! Thanks again for your honesty in sharing with us!

  16. I am signed up for the four week FT course. I am hoping that he will release the info tomorrow so we can get set for Monday. I also think that he is still tweaking the FT program & that is why the book is delayed. I have lost over 100 pounds low carbing over the past 2 years. I am looking for ways to mix it up & start the pounds coming off again. Hopeing Jorge & FT can assist with that!

  19. Hi Amber. Thank you so much for your blog. I did not sign up for the Fast Track due to finances but I am trying to follow it by piecing together all of the information I can find on the web. This week so far I have lost 5 pounds! I am having problems with regularity. Any suggestions? Thank you.
