I'm Off To See The Wizard!

The Belly Fat Cure: Discover the New Carb Swap System and Lose 4 to 9 lbs. Every WeekI'm leaving on a road trip to Southern California today and it's all about the Belly Fat Cure! I've known about this event since October when I joined a class and started the diet. This is the first thing that I wrote:


"I am blogging about my experience following Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure diet. I am 40 yrs old and have 40lbs to lose. I used to be "The Skinny Girl". Now I'm not!

I have named my blog Me and Jorge, because this is about Me and my experience. Jorge's personality (charm and enthusiasm) is integral to this plan for Me. I hope to meet him in the Spring."


One day, to my surprise, a friend forwarded me video of Jorge talking about my blog and reading that exact statement! He called me his "Future Skinny Girl" and hearing those words motivated me beyond measure. How could I let Jorge down?! Ha! Most importantly, I didn't let myself down and I will be meeting Jorge 43.5 lbs lighter then I was that day.

This long weekend is all about ME, and while that sounds completely selfish I think it is really needed. No kids, cooking or T-Ball. My kids have playdates arranged out the yin-yang and the Husband has agreed to get home at a reasonable hour. All I have to worry about is me...

I'm stopping along the way to finally meet my
BFC Buddy Dave in person. I'm so excited about that! Then its further South the BFC Spring Event. Here is what's on my check list:

* Photo with Jorge
* Meet a few readers and fellow BFCers
* Ask Jorge a few questions
* Learn about lifetime maintenance on the BFC
* A little relaxing time in the sun to read the first book I've bought in over a year... the Oprah Biography!
* Maybe another photo with Jorge... with his shirt off perhaps? I kid, I kid.
* Have fun!

  2. Hey Amber! My friends and I are doing the Fast Track with Jorge and we actually took pictures with him last night. Two of us are able to go to tomorrow's event so I'm hoping to meet you! Love your blog but since I just found it recently, I have a lot of catching up to do. Can't wait for tomorrow and I'm hoping to see you get your pic with Jorge!

    Hi Jorge! Contradiction – Please give an answer:
    The book and your website seem to imply that 3 carb portions at a meal are allowed while keeping to 6 max for the day. See http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=13670&post=70078&uid=257615510194#post70078.
    However, I reviewed your Cooking Videos at http://jorgecruise.com/cookingvideos.
    You speak about carb portions in the Bacon Pizza video, by about the 6:09 mark, and the Pasta video, by about the 0:45 mark. In both, you use the phrase "We don't want to go past 2 carbs." The question is why does the book and the FAQ in the book and FAQ at the website contradict the cooking videos. Please answer. Thanks so much!

    I just started the Belly Fat Cure today. I came across your blog and am SO excited, because I am starting at around your same starting weight (I am about 190 right now) and I need to drop about 40 pounds. You are so inspirational!!

  7. Hi Harvey - BFC is max 5/2 per meal and max 15/6 per day. You can do less, but be sure and get your fiber in.

  8. Hi Amber - I am sorry, but that is not an answer to my question. No sweat, I'll just keep posting my question on FB until Jorge gives a real answer. Thanks.

    Congrats on this weeks weight loss! So far, I am at 53.5 lbs since Dec 31st - and, yes, I do allow myself to have up to 3 carb portions per meal with a max of 6 per day.
