  1. I TOTALLY need a bedazzled tank top from the seksi Jay Robb! My fave BFc shake is the one I make - I think I gave you the recipe before. A little fruit, a lot of spinach and Jay Robb chocolate or vanilla!

  2. I blogged and tweeted and you're in my Reader :) You can tell I really want that tank top (I actually want the packets to take on vacation).

  3. I have yet to have a favorite shake because I have just started the BFC yesterday! I did however have a problem finding the protein powder and want to order it online. Thanks for this great giveaway!

  4. Hey Amber, what timing! Just starting the BFC program and would LOVE love love to try the Jay Robb products. While I haven't tried any of them, the one that sounds most appealing to me is the Tropical Dreamsicle!

  5. Hi Amber, New to the BFC and just started this week. Before BFC, used to use Garden of Life Perfect food and Flavored Spirulina, Coconut oil,non-fat yogurt. Weird color, but very yummy!! Thanks for the Contest. I would love to find a chai latte type drink or shake. I am going to miss my starbucks non-fat chai latte with s/f vanilla syrup. Ideas? :(

  8. Hi Amber, First of all...THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!! I have not tried the Jay Robb shakes yet. I would LOVE to incorporate them into my BFC way of eating. I like the idea of being able to try packets of the flavors before committing to just one flavor. (in case I don't like one) I continue to get awesome ideas from your blog and from your readers as well. Thank you!!

  9. I am new- week 2 started today. The shake I have like the best is Jay Robb chocolate mixed with chocolate almond milk, a little heavy cream and ice.

  10. Hi Amber!
So far I have tried both the Chocolate and Vanilla from Jay Robb and both are delicious with some almond milk and a couple ices cubes to make it a little more shakey! I need to experiment with the recipes, but the basic shakes have suited me fine! I love that the ingredient list is so short! Yay for all natural! Ok, good luck everyone!

    Lexi ;)

  11. So this may be a duplicate - I posted on the wrong page. My favorite is the Cinnamon Vanilla - it is my secret cheat. I love my evening treat and this one does it for me.

BTW, just found your Blog and glad I did. You are very inspirational and reading it helped me stay motivated. You look great.

  12. I love the shakes! I would love to win the Jay Robb giveaway since I have not tried this brand. I am also having problems finding it, and am going to have to order it. I have used another protein powder and made the silky vanilla in his book and LOVE it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hey Amber! Another great giveaway! I like both the chocolate and vanilla shakes, but really want to try the Tropical Dreamsicle and Pina Colada varieties. These would be great sipping while soaking up the summer rays.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I prefer the vanilla...it has less of an aftertaste to me than the chocolate. I also reach for that flavor because I can do more with it, add a couple of berries or better yet, any of the Barlean's omega swirl flavors (who knew oil could taste so good!). I find a much better texture and flavor when made with almond milk instead of water.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Such great shake ideas! I really love the fact that so many of you are already adding flax seed to your shakes to give it a Fiber Umph! You all really have the BFC down!!

Carbzilla - You crack me up. If you win I want a photo with you and the bedazzled tank top!

Christy - Yours sounds like the Mother of All Shakes! I love the Amazing Grass too and have a giveaway (!!!) with it coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. WOW! Christy's shake is like you said Amber,
the "Mother of All Shakes". I couldn't come up with anything more descriptive than that. I feel lucky if I can get some ice in my "Bullet", a scoop of egg white protein (I still had some left and wanted to finish it up before buying something else), almond milk, and some frozen fruit. Not necessarily in that order.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I, too, have not tried the shakes. I'm on a budget and would love to try them for free. I'm a little nervous to buy them in case I don't like the taste. However, everyone seems to love them. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Count me in! I haven't tried Jay Robb yet and am excited about a chocolate "shake". Sounds yummy.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thanks Amber for another GREAT giveaway and for all you do with your blog. I'm just starting my 4th week and have only tried the Jay Robb chocolate protein powder. I love chocolate but would like to venture out and try others.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hey Amber! You're in my Reader--love the blog! I use my Keurig to make an iced-coffee sized serving of decaf French-Vanilla, and mix that with chocolate protein powder, a tiny spurt of heavy cream and ice--can you say cafe mocha?!? Would love to try the dreamsicle! Thanks for the giveaway--pgaray11atgmail.com

  21. Hi Amber,

I haven't tried Jay Robb yet. I have to finish the whey powder I have. The vanilla of my brand has Stevia, but the chocolate has Sucralose. What's with that?! I love both with peanut butter. When I have a coffee hankering I add a Cafe Via from Starbucks. Pretty tasty. Would love to try the different samples of Jay Robb, so when it is time to buy some, I know the flavors I like best.

  22. Yum...I love a shake for breakfast, anything chocolate with a bit of fiber in it. I haven't tried the Jay Robb...anything chocolate is great! A bit of peanut butter is good with it, too. I've even had that for dinner when I get home too late to fuss with anything else.

  29. I have only been on the BFC program for three weeks, and I have not tried shakes yet. But everyone makes them sound so good, I really want to try them.

And I love that people have left all these recipes here for them.

  30. The shakes are yummy! My personal favorite is mocha - JayRobb Chocolate (or Amazing Greens chocolate), coffee, Truvia, a dash of heavy cream. I've even made it the night before, stuck it in the freezer and sprinkled it with Uncle Sam's cereal for breakfast the next day. Truly decadent.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So excited for shake week. I haven't tried any shakes yet, and they may be just what I need to get back on track! Anything chocolate sounds great!

I am already a subscriber. And I'm off to tweet for you, too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm shaking it this week too. I love Unsweetened Almond Breeze Chocolate Milk with chocolate whey protein. I add some Benefiber & it's ready in seconds. All these ideas are great.

    ReplyDelete
  33. My wife noticed the coconut milk from your video. I really prefer that to the unsweetened almond milk. I take , 1/4 cup of blueberries, some stevia-sweeteend vanilla protien powder I found at TJ's and 2 huge handfuls of spinach. Then I add in about a teaspoon of that Barleans lemon fish oil stuff that they sell at Costco that's sweetened w/ xylitol (and has no fish-taste whatsoever).

This has a bit more sugar b/c of the blueberries but they are good for you and I never run out of sugar anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Going to Sprouts today to pick up the Jay Robb Vanilla so I can try all of these yummy recipes!
    Thanks everyone for posting them!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thank you for the opportunity to win these shake products. I really enjoy your blog and the recipes. I am week one on the JC program and so far so good

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have you on my RSS feeds which I have on my mail program on my MacBook.

Off to Whole Foods tomorrow as it is 40 or so miles away. No Sprouts in this state, bummer. I am getting this stuff basically for ice cream, but I will probably also make shakes. Anybody add carob to theirs?

I bought the Belly Cure book for my Kindle. Some short comings there though as well as some advantages. I cannot read the menus except with a magnifying glass but I can search the document for any word or phrase that I wish.

I am on day 6 of this program with a couple of fitful starts but smoothing out now as I catch on to the system. My spreadsheet helps.

I am also on this for cancer prevention as I have now had 3 kinds of cancer and would like it to just stay that way. Just passing 3 years on bladder cancer and more on skin cancer. Will be 3 years for eye cancer this December. I am looking forward to diminishing this belly as a "side effect"!

  40. Hi Amber,
Love your site! I love Jay Robb chocolate mixed with instant Nescafe coffee, water and a splash of cream. Tastes life a yummy Greek Frappe.
I also mix the vanilla with a tablespoon of blueberries, ground Salba (http://www.salba.com/), chia seeds and ground flax seeds. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of plain Trader Joe's 2% Greek yogurt.

    ReplyDelete
  41. My favorite is:
1 scoop Jay Robb Strawberry Whey powder (nice, subtle strawberry flavor)
    2 tablespoons flaxseed oil
1/2 cup or so of Unsweetened So Delicious Coconut Milk
1/4 cup of half and half
    ice

blend until smooth, and then place in the freezer until it's almost the consistency of ice cream. eat with a spoon.

  42. I have almond milk with a scoop of stevia sweetened vanilla whey protein powder from Whole Foods, a scoop of chocolate Amazing Greens powder, and some ice almost every morning. Yum!

Mia - I LOVE a Greek Frappe, I keep Nescafe around just for that. I will have to try it. I saw the Salba at Whole Foods, wondered how it differed from Chia Seeds.

  55. I would sure love to try the Jay Robb Protein products! I went to our local vitamin store... they sold another brand and when I got home I realized it has ingredients that I wanted to avoid (artificial sweeteners). I finally tossed the unused container in the garbage. Hated to waste the money, but our health is important! Amber, I sure enjoy your blog!

  56. Hi Amber...i've been making shakes with just almond milk(Love it, no need for skim!)frozen strawberries, truvia and a little cream. Last night I found samples of the Jay Robb in chocolate and vanilla(I'm so excited!)at the GNC store in our mall. I'm having chocolate tonight for dessert! I also bought flaxseed and may add that too. Thanks so much (:

    1 cup of ice

Yum! ceevegnashville [at] gmail [dot] com

  59. I bought two trial packets from GNC a few weeks ago but haven't tried them yet. The "guys" in the store wanted me to buy something else and looked totally uninterested when I told them that I didn't want a product with sucralose in it. My $s/my choice!

  72. Hey Amber,

I love the shakes but have only been able to try the vanilla and chocolate. During the winter I used chocolate almond milk, Robb choc. protein and a little extra stevia to make hot chocolate. I also like mixing the powder in with my Greek yogurt and the Barleans oils.

I LOVE coconut and tropical flavors so I'm anxious to try those powders.

Thanks for a GREAT blog and all the exciting opportunities :)

  76. Amber,
your blog has really helped explain a few important things. I made a Jay Robb shake last night that was filling and very good. One packet JR protein, 3/4 cup Chocolate Almond Unsweetened, and a serving of the homemade ice cream (that I had included a packet of Jay Robb's tropical flavor to) It was thick, creamy and delicous.
    Thanks again for your efforts.
