S/C Tracker Download

I think tracking my food intake has been one of my keys to success on the Belly Fat Cure. For the first three months I entered pretty much everything I ate. I would look at my numbers at night to determine if I had room for Dark Chocolate or another snack. And when my weight wasn't moving as fast, I looked back over my week to see where I had gone wrong.

I have made the tracker available to my Sister who has just start the BFC, so I wanted to make it available here for you all to use also. Click on the button and follow the directions below.

How to use the tracker: It was created in Google Spreadsheets, which is online and you will need a Google account to use it. The pros of this is that you can access it anywhere (any computer or from a smartphone). To do that choose File: Make A Copy. You need to be logged into a Google Account to do this.

Want to add the Me & Jorge BFC Tracker to your iPhone? See my video instructions here. You must do the above step first, saving the spreadsheet to your own Google Account first. Otherwise it will say "Read Only".

If you prefer to use Excel, choose File: Download As: Excel. It should work just fine, but I havent really tested it there in a while.

Once you get started, please take a look a the Sample Day TAB at the bottom to get a feel for how to use the tracker. You will only need to enter info in the MEAL and FOOD INTAKE columns for each week, everything else will be calculated for you. The foods I eat are already entered in the LOOKUP TABLES tab. You will need to adjust this for the foods and brands you eat. Calorieking.com is a great resource when looking up the values for entry in the LOOKUP TABLE. This information is very important, and the food name must exactly match the LOOKUP TABLE and your FOOD INTAKE or else you will get an error.

If you have questions about or problems with my Belly Fat Cure Tracker, this is where to post them!

Update: 4/29/2012

To access the original S/C Tracker from Jorge's Belly Fat Cure book, it is currently available HERE. You need to print it and fill in the ovals and Jorge's team moves it around all the time, so the link may not work for long.

Instead of using my spreadsheet here, I highly recommend using the My Fitness Pal App instead. Check out my post on it HERE.

Jorge Cruise and Hayhouse Publishing has also released an iOS app for the Belly Fat Cure. For more info see my review HERE

  4. Hi Amber! Just stumbled across your blog and put it in my Google reader--love what you're doing! I have a google account (gmail) but when I open the tracker the only options are "download" the "Save a Copy" isn't active. Any ideas? If I download I lose the look up feature.

  5. Patricia - I took a look logged in as another gmail account and it had Copy on there. Sometimes Google Docs is slow, give it another try.

April - I was surprised how many iPhone owners didnt know that feature (adding a webpage to your homescreen) so that is why I did the video. Its almost an iPhone App then!

  6. Amber, does your tracker work work on an IMAC computer? I was able to save the tracker, however, when I try to enter information nothing appears in the box?

  8. So excited about you all using the Tracker! I really would love to hear your feedback here. What is working/not working what you love/dislike about it, etc.

Got Sister M using this wk and she is an Excel wizard/snob, so she kind of hates it! lol! But she is adjusting.

  9. LOVE it - am adding my own preferred foods to the Lookup Tables - but ran into a problem.

I KNOW I've saved the data when I add a new food.

But it stopped filling in the sugar/carb/fiber etc. I notice there's no formula in the cell.

Is it possible that I have too many entries? I filled it out for the day, needed to insert rows, now rows 5 through 23 have entries.

Maybe I should just combine things - like if I have coffee and put purevia, half & half & benefiber in it all the time, make that ONE entry. Would that help?

  10. can you please help me about the dextrose and maltodextrin? should i avoid them?

    ReplyDelete
  11. MidMoBusiness - If you add more rows for food input, there are several formulas that need copied and changed. If your techie you can manage, but test it good! If I get several requests, Ill add a number of rows for food input, and release a new copy. So everyone let me know if you need it too!

  18. Can someone please tell me how to download the s/c tracker to a Mac. I keep downloading different formats, but have been unable to enter data into any of them. Any help would be appreciated.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Have you tried using the online version? That will tell you if the problem is Mac related or, ummm, user related. The online version will work the same no matter what kind of computer you are on as it uses Google Docs.

  20. I need help adding more lines, too. I used it for the first time today and filled it up by my afternoon snack. I tried adding more lines for dinner but it messed it up.

Thank you for sharing- this is genious!!

  21. I really like this spreadsheet. I too need more daily food lines as well as the ability to add my own foods for look up. Let us know if/when this is available. Thanks an bunch!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'll get to work on adding more lines per day! You can already add all your foods to the Lookup Table Tab. You can just add yours or override the list I already have if you dont eat those foods.

  25. I am somewhat confused as to how to use the tracker? i started BFC a week ago and Im a newbie to all this but Im really excited to see the results. Am I suppose to count all my calories? Before i was just counting the servings and making sure i didnt pass 6. Am i doing this wrong??

    ReplyDelete
  26. I was so excited to download the tracker! I used the Excel to open it and I am finding that a few items I have entered in the look up table, as well as some that were already listed, are showing up with a "N/A" error. i am entering exactly as in the lookup table. Any ideas as to what i am doing wrong? Also- have you tried Virgil's Diet Root Beer? The entire bottle is only 2G's of carbs with a 0/0 count. It uses Erythrital and Stevia as sweetener. Soooo yummy!

  27. I can not understand how to use this, I can't enter anything in fields

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thank you for sharing your tracker. I am using it online. It appears I have run out of the range of the lookup table as it no longer recognizes the new data. How do I extend the lookup table??
    Thanks

  29. Donna - You need to either a) login into a google acct and MAKE A COPY or DOWNLOAD AS an excel file first.

Capnelgin - There are 191 rows for the food list. If you need more do this: 1st add rows to the bottom then, Edit:Named Ranges:Manage Ranges: Food List. Double click in the cell range and change it to your new number.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Colleen 777 - I currently do not have a Excel installed anywhere (we are a google household!) so I cant test it for a bit. But it did work, so it still should. Try entering something real simple like "food" and then see if it works. Sorry about that, its a complicated spreadsheet and takes a bit to get used too! But it is really handy once you get it down.

  31. Hi Amber...love the tracker. I have been using it for 4 weeks now and starting on my 5th. I tried deleting my list from week 1 so I could just use the tracker that I have downloaded and has all of my added food. It works....sort of:-) It is not putting in all of the values. It will put in the fiber count, but not the sugar or carbs....so then I have to manually add them. My question is this....if I download a new copy, is there a way to import all of the food that I have entered so I don't have to re-enter all of it? Thanks...Tammy

  34. Hi. Thanks for such a great Blog...It's so encouraging and has such great information. You are a true inspiration!! I love your tracker, but am having a problem. I'm having trouble getting the carb info to instantly calculate (even when it automatically loads from the look up table). The numbers appear in the chart and the sugar column is calculating, but not the carbs...any advice? Thanks so much for any assistance.

  35. I have a question about martinis. I'm sure I read somewhere that having a martini was okay. Is that true? Gin? Vodka?

  43. Hi Amber...I really enjoy using this tracker. I am on my 5th week. I tried deleting my lists from week 1-4. when I copy and paste from the food list, it will only copy the item, not the values. any clues as to why or how to get around this?...so then I have to manually add them. If I download a new copy, is there a way to import all of the food that I have entered so I don't have to re-enter all of it? I would like to continue using it if possible. thanks

  44. i don't understand with the menus given how one could get 25-30 g of fiber? How can I increase fiber without using up too many carbs?

  45. Amber,
The tracker is so useful. Thank you, Thank you! Your blog is so useful also. I just started my
4th week. When I finish the tracker, do I need to download another one? How do I save the look up table since I put in more foods into it? Thanks for making BFC easier.

  46. I have downloaded to my phone but I can't enter updates. I must have done something wrong. Any help? Also, I will need to figure out how to add my own items as my bread numbers are not what is in the tracker.
    Thanks for doing this.

  47. Nancinator, make sure you save a copy of the spreadsheet for yourself. If you cant make any changes, sounds like you are trying to still modify my copy. Hope that helps!

  48. Hi Amber, Love the tracker! I followed your directions and made my copy etc. etc. but I think something is wrong with the tracker. When I input all the food it changes my fiber and sugar intake but the carb and remaining carb stays the same although the carb intake totals at the right add up. Am I doing something wrong or did I somehow change a formula? help! I've already copied it several times but I keep having the same problem.
    thanks,
    Joseph

  58. I am interested in starting the Belly Fat Cure diet. I have a couple of questions about the diet though. I found the fast track diet and wanted to start with that. In this diet, it doesn't tell you how to cook the foods. Just the meat, the vegetable. Can you add butter to the vegetable? Saute in butter or oil? How do you prepare the meats. If there is someplace I can go to get this information please let me know. Thanks.
I did a low carb diet about 8 years ago and lost alot of weight. Started to put it back on again after two hip replacement surgeries and eating wrong. I think this diet will be a better fit for me. Thanks.
