Week 2: Weigh in day

Weight was down 3.5lbs today! I really was shooting for 3lbs, I did great on the diet this week. I finally got my "system moving" again, but not as well as it should be. I can only improve from here! That puts me a 6.5lbs from start of the program. (I also lost 3lbs on my own before the program officially started with the limited information I had on the Belly Fat Cure).

Jorge released our Week 3 menus and materials already and I am really looking forward to tonight's call with him. Im also excited to see if those people who lost large amounts last week did that again. So exciting! If they can do it, I can do it, and if I can do it, you all can do it too!

I did realized after seeing a early release of Jorge Cruise's Belly Fat Cure on one of his videos that the material he is giving us is straight from his book. Just the pages printed.

I hope you all are doing well on your weight loss plans! I'm going to be doing lots of product reviews this week, including Clemmys Ice Cream, Zevia Cola, SoBo, Protein Shakes and taste testing Dark Chocolate Bars.

  3. Congratulations!!! Good job.
Thank you for the protein bar suggestion. I've maintained this week. I didn't plan my meals. That might be the hardest part for me, planning dinner, and working out.

  4. Tonya, make sure to stick to the plan and dont go over on S/C values per meal or for the day. Planning is really really hard for me too! So Im trying to keep it simple for now. I have either eggs w/ 1pc sprouted bread toast or oatmeal (made w/ water or unsweetened almond milk)for breakfast to keep it super simple. Tuna or egg salad for lunch.

  5. Hi Amber, I am starting BFC this week after having had a practice run last week by trying a new recipe each week. When you make the tuna or egg salad for lunch, are you putting them on bread? And, would you add a snack with this? Also, curious which mayo you use? Thanks, Amy

  6. Hi Amy! I do have a bread type product with tuna & egg salad. Usually I have it "open faced" with just one piece of bread. I use Trader Joes's Sprouted Flaxseed bread that is S/C 3/14 for 2 slices or the Sara Lee whole wheat pita that is a little more. The breads you choose are really important, make sure they are under 3grams sugar and the lowest carb grams you can find, so when you add in your sandwich toppings it doesnt all go over 5/2. Maybe easier to find is Orowheat Light 100% Whole Wheat bread, Safeway has it. It has a similar count to TJs bread. Keep us updated on your progress on the BFC!

  7. Amber, Thanks for the great tips! I am so happy to have found your blog, I plan to follow it along as you did, and see what happens. I have to be honest, I enjoy cooking and it has been really fun trying the BFC recipes. So far, everything I have made, my husband and I have both enjoyed. I brought the book into work and shared with a few co-workers now they are going to buy the book. Just seems like a smarter way to eat and I am glad I have decided to start. I have lost 5 lbs in two weeks, that's pretty good (--and it also includes a couple slip ups--oops). It is absolutely awesome that you are now 5 pounds away from your goal! Congratulations! Keep up the good work, and keep the blog! Amy

  8. Amy - It's a process and we learn from the mistakes. Dont beat yourself up about them and concentrate on all the things you are doing right! Congrats on the 5lbs so far, excellent start!

Let me know what you think, if you can!
    Thanks again!
